Sairam. Suprabhat. 🙏😌🌺
Thu May 21, 2020

In just about 10 days, we can scream like JNU students - 'Azaadi' 'Azaadi', without fear of Arnab's verbal attack in the evening.
Yes. Azaadi from Lockdown 4.0 that is. After that? GOK. God Only Knows.

Lockdown is God sent. For the frenetic rat race to stop a while. So that, the rats can rest n resume a while later.

Look at the bright side of life. While there are Carona victims, there are also lockdown beneficiaries. Those who navigated skillfully. Wearing mask n washing hands, they added value to their repertoire. By some meaningful engagements. Which hitherto was a near impossibility, in the mad rat race.

While helping the starving poor in whatever way possible, conserve your time for other value addtions.
In the left over days of LD 4.0 and possible extension there of, sitting locked down at home, you too can look at many choices. To add to your repertoire of knowledge n skill thru online eLearning stuff etc. Or just recall your school days and ruminate over the lessons mis-learnt despite good teachers.
Like the Moghul invasions in history and photosynthesis in botony and the like. But for the 'marks' associated with them, would never have studied such heavyduties in school days.
But now in this locked down days, atleast during whatsApp/ FB intervals, worth re-visiting a few lessons n know the stuff propah'ly. If not botany with its bayaanak names like Ocimum tenuiflorum even for simple Tulsi, atleast history should be re-learnt a bit. As it is about others stories like long gossip, sort of fits in holiday agenda. But need to be specific. Else history may consume 10 lockdowns in one go and still so much will be left till next carona.

Specific agenda to re-read history without fear of examns. And low marks.

May be, need to know from history how, despite so much of greatness as seen in PPTs on India, every one and his uncle could invade India and take back shiploads of gold n gems. And no sign of protest march in Kerala against the lootmaar fellow Vasco da gama who landed in Calicut in 1498 and set off serial looting. Where were the comrades of the day.
(Atleast change the name Vasco in Goa now) . How all of them could have a free hand to loot n loot and like dumbos we were watching. Need to go to the roots, of course masking the face n washing the hands in between as per carona protocol.

We enjoyed certain headstart with Indus valley civilisation. Thought leadership. Later, during the Vedic period 1500- 500 BCE foundations of a rich culture laid. Between 3rd n 4th century Sangam period, literature flourished. Nalanda and Taxila universities around 6th Century B.C. showed the knowledge superiority to the rest of the world.

We are the same people who invaded South East Asia and captured kingdoms. Sources assert that the Medieval Chola king Rajendra Chola I sent a naval expedition to Indochina, the Malay Peninsula and Indonesia in 1025 AD. At the end of the war, Rajendra Chola had scored a decisive victory over Srivijaya and extended his supremacy over modern day Malaysia, the Andaman and Nicobar isles and southern Thailand. His dominance over the seas helped him reach the rest of Thailand and the Khmer kingdom ( Cambodia).

Then how did the Turks,  Moghuls and later the Western countries could walk in n loot at will. And more surprisingly how after all the loot we were not completely decimated and became another impoverished Ethiopia but still alive n kicking dreaming of $ 5 trn economy in just a stones throw.

The barbaric Turks did us in. The war supremacy of the Turks with their super power cavalry with finest horses could not be matched by the native folks n their foot soldiers n normal horses. And thus the Delhi sultanat got established from 1206 - 1526 AD. There after the moghul empire with similar might.
And after that, the Europeans. British. With the supremacy of weapons. Blazing Guns.
Unabated destruction. Killings.

India accounted for 25% of the world's industrial output in 1750 AD declined to pitiable 2% in 1900 AD. According to Paul Baron of Stanford, 8% of India's GNP was transferred to British every year. Fir kya bachega . Systematic destruction of India. The present external affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated recently in Washington Thin Tank atlantic council that "An economic study estimated that British took out of India during it's tenure, $ 45 trn in today's value" . And still we are left with enough resources to bounce back.

What kept the suffering masses going, despite total annihilation all over. Any other Nation would have caved in. Like Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria now in shambles in just few decades of war. But India kept on with certain internal strength.

It's the Bhakti Movement that  originated in the 7th century in South India with the advent of Adi Shankara and spread northwards. It swept over east and north India n reached its peak between the 15th and 17th century. It gave us many spiritual Masters who remained as beacons of light in the dark period in history. Helped the natives gather inner strength n face the adversity.

Adi shankara ( 8th century), Ramanujacharya (10th century), Madhavavharya,( 13 th century), Ramananda (14th century), Tulsidas (15th century) Vallabscharya (15th century), Chaitanya (15 th century), Kabir (15th century), Gurunanak ( 15th century), Surdas, (16th century), Mirabhai, (16th century)

The Bhakti movement kept India going with its cultural and spiritual content intact, despite alien occupation and their wanton destruction of our spiritual assets.

Later, even during the British time, no armed revolution n bloodshed in India for freedom except Satyagraha, a new political tool invented by Gandhi, with a spiritual bent of mind. That he chanted 'Ram Ram' as his last words showed the impact of the medieval Bhakti movement on every Indian. A strong force to reckon with.

Now after a millennium of continuous assaults, we still stand erect without losing our original spiritual essence. Our basic mettle. The entire nation is all set to regain the lost glory. Rebooting India, restoring the position it deserves. It already started showing. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan to be appointed as WHO Executive Board chairman as per yesterday's news.
More to follow hoisting Indians to great heights. Once again knowledge leadership.
It's our duty to leverage that strength and restore our old elevated status.
As value driven citizens with spiritual bent of mind, we can face any challenge. It's the lesson all spiritual Masters taught us.

How do we, as individuals, participate in this movement and Reboot India. Did you ask?

Yes. You guessed it right. Certain Prep needed.

Pray. Chant. Meditate

Become a spiritually charged individual practising time tested Values in life.

The nation awaits you. And many like you, to restore the lost glory and abundance.

And empower India to lead the world as a beacon.

Why wait..
Before the lockdown ends, become fit enough for the movement.
To reboot India, that is.
